I may have one of the final Blackface Super Reverbs ever produced, before they went to Silverface Drip Edge reportedly in late August of 1967. My 1967 Blackface SR has the tube chart dating in August 67 and the internal chassis is stamped “83167” and inside the doghouse cover its stamped “82867”. Can anyone confirm the date that the first Silverface SRs started shipping?

ET,

AB763 is the circuit. Generally speaking, the last two digits are the year the circuit was introduced. If you want to know WHEN it was built, you will need the serial number (stamped into the top metal panel on the back rearof the amp) or, even better, the 2-letter date code on the same label where you found the AB763.

Jasper,

I have a 60’s fender blackface super reverb amp. the number on the tube chart is AB763. can anyone tell me what this # is and what would this amp is worth.
