I love my 65 RI Princeton reverb. Did I say I love my 65 RI Princeton reverb!

David Jarvis,

Hi, I have a ’65 Princeton Reverb reissue with CR 325524 on the chassis back. Can you date this amp for me? Thanks, Peter

Peter Walters,

Hi! I’m upgrading the tubes in my ’65 Princeton Reverb Reissue. Its layout is: V1 – 12AX7, V2 – 12AT7, V3 – 12AX7, and V4 – 12AX7. I’m using it for recording only, not gigging, and I’d like to sweeten the overdrive and lower the overall volume. I’m thinking of switching to V1 – 12AT7, V2 – 12AU7, V3 – 12AT7, and V4 – 12AT7. I also plan to replace the two power tubes, though I’m not sure about the rectifier yet. Does this setup look good to you? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Mark,
