Plug and Play Jack Plate

"Perfect jackplate for the custom cabinet i built. Built a custom 2x10 with celetion ten30s 8 ohm i can use it on several different heads and not have to worry about what plug or changing wiring in the cabinet. Can use 4 ohm with my Marshall head and get loud for gigs, when i am recording i can plug in both my joyo bantamp zombie and jackman and run stereo 8 ohm or plug in to the 16ohm for practice and not get to loud one cabinet multiple uses."

"I succeeded in installing the output plate into my 4x12 Crate cab. It required using an electric jigsaw to enlarge a small round mounting hole to a larger square hole. After rewiring each pair of speakers into two parallel pairs, I found the wires attached to the new plate were long enough to connect directly to each speaker without splicing wires. Put everything back together and checked each output jack and all were correct."

No installation instructions for plug and play jack plate.

"The plug and play jack plate appears to be well made but there are absolutely no instructions included on how to install it in a 16 ohm, 4x12 cab. The description implies that it will work with any 4x12, 16 ohm cab. Maybe it will be obvious when I pull the switch plate from my Marshall 1960A Lead slant cab but how do I install it in my 4x12 Crate cab?"

"Whoever is complaining about this jack plate needs to do a bit more research and read the attached data sheet. You can find dimensions easily online to determine if you need to modify your cab, as well as data sheets explaining how to achieve specific configurations like using either speaker individually in the cab in mono. I installed this in a MojoTone ultra-light 2x12, with a 12>10 adapter ring so I could have an Eminence Swamp thang 12" and Ragin Cajun 10" in one cab. With the Plug and play, I can run this cab and set of speakers with any and every amp I own, 4 or 16 ohm mono as needed, and isolate one speaker or the other without issue. This is a good quality product and works as advertised. The metal construction is robust, and the components feel sturdy. Exactly what I needed!"

"Heads UP! This multi-jack DOES cover 4ohm, 8ohm and 16ohm configurations! The instructions are here as a PDF, under 'documentation.' You just click on the link and the file downloads. With a 2x12 cab, (2x 8 ohm speakers), the Right Jack gets you 8 ohm (1) speaker, usually the TOP of a 2x12. Left Jack gets you 4 ohm (2x 8, in Parallel) OR 1x 8 ohm, BOTTOM of a 2x12, BUT, that requires that you plug in a non-shorting jack into the Right jack. The Bottom jack gets you 16 ohms (2x 8 ohms in Series). You can meter out the configurations BEFORE testing the cab under load. This is a great piece of kit!"
