"I ordered two sets of these fillister screws in nickel as a drop-in replacement for the twelve black 1/2" hex pieces that came stock in a custom-wound high-output A5 humbucker that I had been using in the bridge position of my partscaster. The stock sound presented a nice big midrange, but was really tight with no low end. I figured that, with the 1010 steel (higher iron content), nickel plating, and 3/4" length, I would get a better bass response with these new pole pieces, and more balanced output overall. And I was right! The nickel finish is flawless, and coupled with the white bobbins of the pickup makes for a sparkling appearance, as well. Not bad for a cost-effective easy fix! Many thanx to Mojotone for a quality product and fast shipping!"
