Huge Upgrade

"This was a Huge upgrade from the Celestion 70/80 that a lot of amps are coming with stock these days. Don’t be afraid to try this Bad boy out on a 1x12. I got this speaker for my Blackstar studio 10 for recording and it’s really given the amp a more dimensional and deep sound. I’m not good at explaining things but basically the speaker sounds awesome!"

These speakers are just plain AWESOME!

"I just loaded 3 Mojotone Watch Towers into my Mojotone 3x12 cab that I had bought from them when they were located in Winston-Salem. Hooked up A Vox 15 Watt Night Train to it and then proceeded to pick my jaw off the floor. These speakers are just plain AWESOME! I could not be happier. They are everything that Mojotone says in their description. I am really anxious to put a 30 or 50 watt on but, just the 15 Watt was killer at half Volume. Thanks Mojotone!!!."

Superb!!

"What is not to love? Not only are these 12Ms, but MIGB. I bought four. Mine has hippy 1960s sticker on the back. Good for open Cab. Every guitarist should have a least a 2X12 GB cab. I thought I read somewhere that they're 12Cs, but the 12M sticker doesn't lie."

Great Speakers.

"I have a set of these in a marshall cabinet I bought for cheap and restored like new. They sound wonderful. It doesn't matter whether it's my Bogner Amps or my Frtiedman Amps. These speakers like to work hard and are thick and smooth sounding with excellent projection whether your amp is 50 or 100 watt. I bought mine a few years ago now and they're well broken in and I still love them. I have all kinds of different 4x12 cabinets and the one with these in it is my favorite. These are the g12c version of the greenback which is the vintage modern and jimi hendrix marshall. Don't hesistate. They're legit."

Great 12” Speaker at Excellent Price

"I rarely leave reviews, but had to say that I’m really loving my Mojotone Watchtower 12” speaker. I’ve used this speaker In a few different arrangements so far…but mainly as an extension cabinet for a handful of different amps. I have A low watt (15 watt all tube) version of 60s Bassman and this speaker exceptional with cleans and naturals. It just shines in that area with remarkable harmonics . And usually I’d think this more amp related, but I have A VHT 6 ultra (6 watt all tube) and combine this with that w/ an external cab with the watchtower…and you’d think that this is the best combo for the price. Incredible breakup, harmonics, and lean sound . Ultimately, it’s a speaker that id recommend trying for low watt tubes amps or buying sets for a more elaborate setup. Quick shipping and good communication . A+ . Will buy from Mojotone again"

Great deal on a real Celestion G12M

"This is a genuine Celestion G12M. The sticker over the terminals says so. You won't find them for $125 anywhere else. Grab one before they get away."

sounds like a cross between the G12H30 70th Anniversary and a G12M25 Reissue

"I have this speaker loaded in a 1x12" GDS 18 watt Marshall combo clone. The (open back) combo cabinet was made to vintage dimensions and materials. When compared to a standard Celestion G12M Greenback 25 watt Reissue, this Celestion-made speaker has a more laid back midrange presence with a bit deeper and tighter bass (not necessarily more bass) and a bit more sizzling treble*. It's also less forward in the upper mid range and, therefore, a bit less aggressive when the amp is turned up to natural crunch tones and beyond. It is more balanced across the frequency spectrum and sounds like a cross between the G12H30 70th Anniversary and a G12M25 Reissue. Firmer bass in a 1x12 open back cabinet. Still crunchy, but less in your face. More full frequency but still warm with a woody Greenback presentation. The Watchtower is a great Greenback variant and a good alternative to the GB Reissue for a more balanced, less midrange-exaggerated, tone. If you find that Reissue midrange too much or annoying, this is your speaker. *My G12M25 is 10 years old and well broken in and the Watchtower is only 7 months old and I expect it to mellow out further still."

Sound better

"Have my watchtower in a pine cab, marshall 15w haze head. Really an amazing setup. Makes me sound better!"
