Mojotone Grand Canyon 4X12 Speaker Extension Cabinet

Do you seek a sound so massive it could fill the Grand Canyon itself? A tone with enough relentless brutality to carve a NEW Grand Canyon out of the earth before you? Your quest ends here, mighty warrior. With the Mojotone Grand Canyon 4x12 speaker cabinet, you'll leave friends and foes trembling before your power.

Standing at 32" tall and 29-3/4" wide, this Baltic Birch beast will command attention before a single note is even played. Crafted from 100% void-free Baltic birch plywood and handcrafted in our woodshop in Burgaw, NC, the Grand Canyon is built with precision-cut 1/4" finger joints for maximum durability. This nigh-indestructible cabinet will accompany you through countless battles, eventually being handed down to a worthy heir.

The Grand Canyon comes equipped with elite features for true headbangers. A frequency relief port, shrouded behind the grill cloth at the bottom of the baffle, prevents overbearing bass frequencies from muddying your razor-sharp tone. Additionally, a vintage-style 2x4 sound post is attached to the speaker baffle and back panel, ensuring defined chugs and no annoying cabinet buzz. A 5/8" thick birch back panel keeps all of its dark magic contained, ensuring your tone stays fierce and intact.

If you aim to unleash the full power of your crushing riffs and searing leads, the cabinet you choose must be worthy. Choose your weapon. Choose the Mojotone Grand Canyon.

Phenomenally solid tone

"Incredible, easily the best cabs I’ve played or owned. Custom ordered a Grand Canyon in western wine tolex and a Twin Canyon in green snakeskin tolex, loaded both cabs with a total of 6 Eminence EM-12’s rated at 200 watts a piece lol. Bottom ports keep the tone tight and focused. Absolutely devastating and road worthy."

You won't regret it!

"I purchased a 4x12 canyon cab in April of this year and have just purchased a second one. The construction of the cabinet allows a maximum of clarity and enjoyment of the sound produced by the speakers. Amazing for the studio! In addition, the design allows a vintage sound mixed with a more modern sound touch (oversize, inside pole, front port, screw-in front baffle). I've had several other brands and these cabinets are truly a sleeper. Build quality is perfect and the price is more than fair. Really, if you're looking for a nice 4x12 for the studio or just a good cabinet to play with, go for it! I didn't have the chance to play live with it, but it seems to handle loud volume better than my other cabinets, with a better projection in the room and a tight low end. You won't regret it!"

Impressive quality and build

"If you play heavy music, this is a perfect alternative to the oversized Mesa 412. Never having assembled a cabinet before I was somewhat unsure of what to expect. When I opened the box, installation of the speakers could not have been easier. I loaded mine with Weber grey and silver wolves (100w each, light dope). Right out of the gate, the sound was shockingly good, even without the speakers being broken in. Using either a triple rec or a 5150, the sound stays extremely tight. If I am playing detuned 6 string or a 7 string, the sound is articulate with each note clearly defined, regardless of register. I was referred to mojotone by a local vintage amp guru. He said that mojotone was the only place he would outsource cabinet work. Now I understand why."

Apparently this thing kills you on stage

"I haven't purchased this but the description is beyond hilarious. "Do you seek tone with enough relentless brutality to carve a NEW Grand Canyon out of the earth before you?" lol that would kill a lot of people and leave my local community devastated, but sure, let's rock! "Consider your quest ended, mighty warrior." I haven't left the house in three days. "...this nigh-indestructible cabinet will surely see you through many battles until you die on stage in front of legions of fans and hand it down to a worthy heir." I like how it's capable to carving a brand new grand canyon into the Earth's crust but is only "nigh-indestructible." All these mystical powers yet it can be destroyed by a mini-van. Also, I'm going to die on stage??? What? This thing is going to kill me? I feel like I should get a discount for that."

Exactly what I wanted

"I ordered this cab loaded with 2 Celestion v30’s on the bottom and 2 celestion 25watt greenbacks. Sounds great with a Marshall style amp. I like the mids that the v30 bring out."

Customer Review

"Wow! I ordered one of these with a few options/changes versus "stock". I was told it would be 5 to 6 weeks. Well, 4 weeks later I get a shipment notice, so nice work exceeding expectations. I got the cab today (1/10/2020) and have already put my speakers in (I have a nice cache of speakers, so I ordered it empty)… without further adieu let's get to the good stuff: The fit and finish is stunning. It is so incredibly well-made that I am blown away. I had to open it up to put my speakers in it and the quality is not just skin-deep. This thing is perfect on the inside.... And I do mean PERFECT. The tolex is meticulously installed with perfect seams, the grill cloth is 100% straight and taught, and the piping is impeccable. You simply cannot get this quality of finish from one of the big manufacturers. On to tone... Well, they did not embellish on their own videos at all. I play seven-string metal (tuned to standard B). I can hit those massive low chugs and this cabinet has totally eliminated the woofy-wompy overtones while still managing to extend the low frequencies. Tight is absolutely the correct word to describe it. Also, I am going from a front-loaded cab to this one being rear-loaded, this also magically causes a little warm up on the top end (which is not a bad thing at all). All in all, I am 100% giddy with all aspects of this purchase: The turnaround for my customized order, the build quality, the fit and finish, and most importantly the tone.. (...my god the tone is glorious) don't be scared to order one for yourself - I would give it more than 5 stars if I could."
