Great rock/blues speaker at a great price.

"Bought to substitute for the Jensen spkr in a 5E3 build. Sounds great. Loud. I A-B'd Celestion G12M greenback w. separate cab. Green back is a little brighter but not much. Mojo BV12-25M nice tighter Low-Mids. The Mojo BV12-25M a clear speaker, good clarity - as the amp is pushed it holds together same as the green back; breaks up a bit earlier than a Vintage 30. The speaker is loud. I'd buy this speaker again, its a great rock and blues sound, and a much better price point."

Get the True Sound From Your Amp with This Speaker

"I bought this speaker to replace an Eminence Man-o-War. Wow! What a difference. Where the MoW sounded muddy, this speaker is clear and bright. The sound jumps right out of the speaker! Now I can really hear how my valve-driven Orange head is supposed to sound...like a demon monster!!"

British Vintage. ‘Nuff said!!

"Like others, Johan Segeborn led me to the BV-25M. While I’ve never played a vintage greenback, this is the late 60s early 70s British sound. At least to my ears. This replaced a WGS Green Beret which is a good speaker. But this blows the Green Beret away. Long live Mojotone!"

I love them!

"These are the best speakers I've tried with my Marshall JMP 2204 (and I've tried many, including old greenbacks). These speakers cut thru in a band situation. They do sound like older greenbacks, but with slightly more bottom end, and a little less harsh top end. I love them!"

GET THESE SPEAKERS!!

"I wondered and put off the urge to get Mojotone speakers for awhile now, then I saw a Greenback shootout on YouTube John Segeborn did and was convinced. This speaker sounds more like an old Greenback than anything else made today, including actual Greenbacks (and they’re cheaper)! I put these in a 1936 style 212 and the sound is glorious!! Like Angus? Get these Like Zep? Get these Like old Aerosmith? Get these Like SRV? Get You get the picture! These speakers are bright, crunchy yet not in the least bit harsh with overdrive/distortion, and the cleans are ever bit as nice as any Greenback you’ve ever heard."

Really musical

"Tried the BV-25M in my two-6V6 fender style combo amp. I find it to be perfectly balanced, almost sweet sounding. I notice a total lack of spiky response or ear fatigue but not it's not bland either. Sounds great clean and has a nice break up character that adds complexity to overdrive and and records really well too - really musical. I've tried many speakers including some really expensive ones and this one stands out as really musical. Others who play the amp have noticed and commented on the improvement!"

Total Tone Cones!!!

"Speakers are great! I purchased two of them and have them in the Mojotone 2x12 internal slant cab. They're very responsive and have a smooth, warm breakup when pushed into overdrive tones."

A comparison with a Celestion G12M Greenback Reissue

"Mounted into a Marshall 18 watt tremolo clone 1x12" combo. Compared to a 2009 G12M Reissue, this speaker is flatter with less midrange hump and slightly softer highs. There is less upper midrange emphasis and slightly more bass. This makes it slightly less aggressive and more balanced or laid back. More brown. The frequency balance can make it sound more plain or ordinary when compared to a G12M Reissue but that makes it more versatile. It doesn't impart its signature on the tone as much and allows the amp, guitar and playing to shine through more and is a trait of the original Pulsonic G12M. Beyond frequencies, the tonal signature/feel is more earthy, complex and loose right out of the box. It sounds really good when brand new; no icepick highs and bass is full and rich right after mounting up. The G12M Reissue is a good speaker, but it's always a very-forward and mid-heavy punchy woody howl. Sometimes that's just the ticket for certain classic rock styles."

Nice!

"Two weeks into my cabinet build and I couldn’t be more happy. This speaker is breaking in nicely bc and I’m sure will get better with time. Great shipping time and very affordable for what you get."

Mojotone Rocks!

"Speaker is everything Johan Segeborn said it would be. https://youtu.be/kmyX4-NRkI0 I’m rocking it in my little Tone King Gremlin. Pretty close to Marshall JTM tones using the tweed channel now.
