Join Mojotone for an immersive two-day tube amp build workshop, where you’ll hand-wire your own 5E3-style Tweed combo amplifier under the guidance of our expert instructors.

This hands-on amplifier building class includes a lacquer-finished Mojotone 5E3 Tweed Combo Amp Kit, professional instruction, all tools and shop supplies, and catered lunch both days.

What You’ll Learn

Hosted and led by Andy Johnson, Mojotone’s Production & Tech Manager, this workshop walks you step-by-step through the build of a classic 5E3 Tweed-style tube amplifier—one of the most influential guitar amp circuits of all time.

Over two days, you will:

-Learn proper soldering techniques

-Understand tube amp circuit theory and basic electronics

-Read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics

-Assemble and wire a complete tube amplifier

-Gain hands-on experience inside a real guitar amp

Our instructors are on hand throughout the workshop to answer questions, explain concepts, and help troubleshoot any issues along the way.

This class is designed for players, builders, and tone enthusiasts who want a deeper understanding of how tube amplifiers work. You’ll spend the majority of the workshop actively building, soldering, and assembling your amp—not just watching demonstrations.

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SOLDER?

No, Our instructors can run you through the process, no no soldering skills are needed

CAN I CHANGE MY TWEED OUT FOR A CUSTOM COLOR?

Unfortunately, no. We have to plan this months out before the class starts. Besides, who doesn't love a lacquered tweed cab?

DO I NEED TO KNOW BASIC ELECTRONICS SKILLS LIKE HOW TO READ A SCHEMATIC OR DIAGRAM?

No, our classes are tailored around it being the first time you are exposed to vintage type electronics and you learn as you go.

WILL I FINISH MY AMP IN CLASS?

Even though we focus on teaching amp building skills, we do not rush anyone to have their amp complete by the end of class. However, with 30+ classes under our belt, we haven't had anyone not complete the amp in their own time with very little help at home.

CAN YOU SHIP MY AMP OUT AFTER THE CLASS IS COMPLETED?

Yes, we have on site shipping capabilities.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING LIKE TOOLS OR LUNCH?

No all tools, soldering iron and lunch is provided by Mojo.
