Disclaimer: Some of the parts contained in this kit are subject to availability.

Mojotone reserves the right to change or substitute any and all of the parts contained in this amplifier kit without advertisement or notification to the buyer. Part substitutions made by Mojotone are guaranteed not to affect the integrity or operation of your amplifier kit. Time estimates listed are from start to finish. If you are new to tube amplifiers, additional time may need to be factored.

When purchasing a kit from Mojotone, you will receive the following documentation.

1. Schematic

2. Wiring Diagram / Layout

If you purchase a kit from Mojotone and do not receive these documents, you can obtain copies by emailing tech@mojotone.com or calling 800-927-6656. The Mojotone staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST unless otherwise closed.

Mojotone kits include the best quality parts that are available at the time of purchase. If a substitution is required, our team will use parts that are of equal quality to ensure the integrity of the kit build remains the same.

Building a fully functional amplifier kit is not an easy task. Before building a kit, one should have the ability to properly solder as well as read and understand a schematic and wiring diagram. While we do our very best to ensure all documentation is current, the included documentation is meant to serve as an overall guide to building the amplifier. Simply following the schematic and wiring diagram does not guarantee you will have a fully functional amplifier. In fact, post build troubleshooting is a common issue across all builds.

Our staff is available to assist with basic troubleshooting needs. There are plenty of online videos available that are helpful with most post build issues. Technical staff is available via email by sending a message to tech@mojotone.com. You may also call our sales team to discuss build problems, dial 800-927-6656 and press 1 for sales.

Building a tube amplifier takes time, dedication, resources and most importantly... Skills! The experience of building an amp can come with some frustration, the reward of completing the build is definitely well worth your time. Please review the wiring diagram, schematic and manual (if applicable) prior to making your purchase. Mojotone will not accept any returns on amplifier kits and/or parts that have been assembled, soldered or modified.

It’s awsome! Best amp I

"It’s awsome! Best amp I ever owned."

Highly addictive hobby

"This is my third Mojotone kit, and hopefully not my last. I have built over twenty amps in the last two decades sourcing individual parts from multiple vendors. Mojotone makes it so much easier. They use excellent parts that are well organized. I have been thoroughly impressed with the transformers and chassis. This British kit was the only one that I needed tech support. I had a problem with power tubes that were mismatched. They corrected it quickly, and my amp is sounding fantastic. As I said earlier, this won't be my last kit. Mojo is a first rate company."

Hand built Heaven

"Great Amp,my second Mojotone build,With pedal the overdrive is awesome. It is more of a later model since it has EL 34s,great crunch.I built my Blues breaker for a grand and I’ll put it up against the 3k reissues.I also bought a head shell and swap when I need to run my 4 12.Thanks Mojotone"

Ridiculous Good

"This amp is ridiculous good. A true hand-wired vintage clone. With no amp experience - I followed detailed diagrams in combination with some patience and studying the internals of similar builds. Finished up, triple checked everything. Took it to my tube amp guy who powered it up on a variac and it was perfect. Dial in the bias and it's just ridiculous good. Been gigging it week after week and it's dependable AF. The guys at Mojo are top notch - patient and answered all my questions."

Amazing sound, easy to follow layout, high quality!

"I was bought this amp as a gift after wanting one for awhile and I gotta say I’m impressed. This was my first build from a kit for a whole guitar amp but I’ve built pedals, restored vintage amps and modified circuits for years so I’m familiar with them. This amp sounds great and is a great way to get that vintage sound without spending a fortune as long as you know what you’re doing. I will be building other kits from them in the future once I am able to stop playing with this one for long enough as it again is truly amazing."

Build this Kit!!

"First off.. the web page wouldn't allow me to give a 5 star rating, which I would for the British Style 45W Amplifier Kit. This was a top notch kit from all aspects and properly built will give you an awesome clone of JTM 45. All the parts included in the kit are top notch and lead to a great sounding amp when finished. I was skeptical on the turret board with the holes, but it worked out great and I ended up routing wires through the holes to provide strain relief. Also found the octal tube retainers a little funky and changed the out for Belton tube clamps.. much better. If you're looking to add British clone to your arsenal, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND building this kit. It's simply outstanding.. Last, I've also tried kits from other vendors to see if they compare. Don't go there. Stay with Mojotone, every kit I've built over the years has been excellent!"

JTM45 Rocks !!!!!!!!

"The wife and I are both retired !! The wife has vast a array of craft talent !! Eg,. She does Stain Glass , Wood Burning , Etch Glass , Expert Knitter , etc !!! I've played guitar 🎸 for the past 45 years , Aircraft / Car mechanic !! I decided to build the JTM45, so I can sit and chat with wife at her craft table !! Nevertheless , the JTM45 was an exciting and fun amp build !! Mojotone stepped up to the plate in every aspect of troubleshooting / sending me a few replacement parts without a sigh 😕 !! I didn't use the tube retainers , for if a tube is loose in its socket , then the socket needs replacing !! I utilized Rob Robinette website in Amp Startup / Troubleshooting guide , which I highly recommend !!! The Amp is going to be gifted to a Disabled Vet, and I'll be moving on to another Mojotone Amp kit build soon !! For now (( Think 🤔 Smart / Think 🤔 Safe )) while building your Mojotone Amp kit !!"

I'm very happy with the finished result and the amp sounds great!

"I got the JTM45 as a retirement gift from the company I worked for. I found that the parts and components were high quality. The instructions that come with the kit are minimal. A schematic and wiring diagram comes supplied. Be sure to check website in case of any updates to wiring diagram. I did have an electrical engineer check my work after I finished building it. I’m very happy with the finished result and the amp sounds great!"

an amazing old school amp

"British 45 is up and sounding great. I’m fortunate to have access to an original 1968 super lead and the British 45 sounds very similar, well done Mojo and thanks for all your support and quick response on replacement parts. If you take your time and double check each step you will have an amazing old school amp."

These kits are superb.

"These kits are superb. All components from the chassis to the resistors are highest quality components. The cabinets are amazing. This kit **does** deserve 5 stars although it did make a few minor changes not on an original JTM45: 1) both 32uF can caps 2) one 16uF moved off-board 3) the PT and OT are really close together 4) the wire is tweed wire 5) doesn't come with solder lugs as originals did 6) resistors are carbon comps whereas most were carbon film. I got a correct wiring kit with all the correct colors and substituted a Mercury Magnetics RadioSpares OT and put a 16x2 can cap with doubled wire and solder lugs. No problem. Build mine with original Piher resistors and Mullard mustards. Very very happy with this amp."
