Comments: Beginning in early 1966 Fender offered JBL D-120F Speakers as an ''premium upgrade'' to the Twin Reverb. Some early Twin Reverbs have tube charts specifying 7355 power tubes. It is unclear if any shipped in this configuration.

I have a Twin 65 Reissue. And I love it!

Is it Possible to remove 2 output tubes to Lower the sound, without hurting the amplifier?

Leif,

I’d have to say that the Fender Twin is THE ultimate guitar amp of choice for any serious lead guitar player on the planet. At its introduction, and since, it is a hoss of an amplifier that will do anything asked of it. RIP Leo Fender. You were a genius.

Steve Jesseph,

If it says “Corona” on the amp, then the amp is definitely not from the 60’s. The Fender factory in Corona wasn’t built until the mid-1980’s. Before that it was Fullerton, CA. See the link below. Looks like your amp may be from 1990. https://support.fender.com/hc/en-us/articles/212774766-How-can-I-find-out-how-old-my-amplifier-is-

B Jordan,

Can someone help with dating my Fender Twin Reverb? It’s a Blackface Fender Twin Reverb AB763, made in Corona, California. The speakers are Fender Special Design, made in Italy, with frame number C12K, 8 ohms each. The transformer codes are A037610 and B037612. The serial number is AC060417. It also has tilt-back legs. Thank you for any help!
