'68 Clone Tele® Pickup
Perfect clones of the late 60's grey bottom Tele pickups that were found stock in those coveted vintage Paisley Teles and George Harrison Rosewood Teles. Equipped with raised D and G magnets, and vintage spec plain enamel wire.
The neck pickup has a vintage correct deep drawn cover with amazingly clear, and glassy tone. The bridge pickup nails that famous twang with a clear bass response and slightly scooped midrange. RWRP when combined for hum-cancelling in the middle position.
Wax dipped for a specific amount of time to retain that "on the edge" of being microphonic tone. Just a beautiful recreation of the real thing!

Excellent upgrade

Installed these in a MIJ 60s Telecaster. Stock pickups were a bit dull and lacked character.
The Mojotone 68s are definitely a major upgrade for this guitar. It sounds much more open and airy, the harmonics really shine through, great balance between high & low end. Bass it tight.
Had to mess a bit with the bridge pickup’s height, as with ‘standard ajustment’ it turned out much louder than the neck. Also it is bright… granted, this is normal for a Tele bridge pickup, but I mean, this one’s reaaaally bright. Warms up superbly with a slight turn of the tone knob, though, so not a problem.
The big surprise comes from the neck pickup. Wow. For lack of better terms, it is insanely articulate and smooth but not too dark. I love it.
Middle position sounds as good as it gets once you find the right balance between both pickups.
Gold screws for the bridge ajustments would be a fine addition when ordered with gold cover, though (minor downside).
