HUGE sound!
by Jake T -
I used this speaker in a 2x12 Mojotone Lite cabinet when my metal buddies wanted to play loud. This speaker CRANKS - it has HUGE bass and a very smooth top end. For playing at home, it has way too much bass response for my tastes, at least in a large 2x12, but it is excellent when you are looking to produce a wall of sound, especially when only playing with a bassist and a drummer. It would be ideal in a Blues Jr. or any small combo if you are looking to get rid of boxiness in your sound.

My black face to Luxe does not have the original speaker it. Since this is my first deluxe reverb I didn’t know if it’s lack of low end was due to its design, or the speaker. And since it was not original I thought swapping out the speaker would be a good idea. I installed the new speaker, the eminence swamp thang and took it to rehearsal. I was very pleased with the increase of low end particularly from the A note down to the E On my Les Paul. Overall the speaker sounds better than when it replaced and power handling is impressive. For less than 110 bucks this speaker is a bargain I plan on buying more of these to replace the speakers and other working amps
